Sumter EMC Recesses Annual Meeting Until August 29, 2020
Out of an abundance of concern for the safety and health of our members, employees and the general public, Sumter EMC will recess its Annual Meeting to late summer. The meeting, originally scheduled for June 13th, will be recessed and reconvened on August 29th, 2020 at South Georgia Technical College so the Cooperative can conduct its annual business, including elections of directors. The Cooperative will continue to monitor the situation and adjust the meeting format in accordance with recommendations of public health agencies.
“It is of utmost importance that any gathering or meeting of members be conducted in a healthy environment and safe manner. We know that many Sumter EMC Members look forward to the Annual Meeting each year, and we look forward to seeing the Members of our electric cooperative family on August 29th and thanking them for their continued support of the co-op.” said Rene Smith, President/CEO of Sumter EMC.
